Thyroid

Hello :)

Eating disorders affect health in numerous ways and thyroid functionality is a big one.  Your thyroid, as explained in the article, “is the thermostat regulating the energy for your entire body. It controls everything from your mood to your menstrual cycles to your metabolism — and about a thousand other biological functions — including how efficiently you burn calories and how easily you lose weight.”

This article provides some great info about our thyroid.  One big thing to know if you are undereating, is that lack of nutrition seriously compromises thyroid functionality and can contribute to hyperthyroidism.  This may result in the need for medication.

If you suspect that your thyroid functionality may be affected, please make an appointment to see your GP today.

Have an awesome day.  Bye for now, Paula :)
